Im no expert on sly but the digi box is a reciver/decoder. Isent there some way of taking out the decoder because that is what decodes the channel so u cant view it.

I thought that the purpose of the decoder was to decode the scrambled signal so you could view it, not the other way around.

havent seen a circuit diagram yet but it doesnt seem likely that it could decode without a card anyway, which makes it a bit moot <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

Its just a thought but think about this.

The digibox recieves an encoded digital signal, right? The digibox is just a little decoding computer? The new sly+ box is a digibox with a hard drive that records the actual encoded signal to decode it later when you want to watch it.

Would it be possible to somehow record this raw incoming signal onto your PC hard drive and play with it from there??

Just a thought
