We’ve had it from a good source that Sky News has been allocated channel slot 209 on the Freesat EPG. This comes just a few days after CNN announced they will be available on Freesat from Tuesday 24th March 2009.
We are not sure exactly when this slot allocation happened; channel slots can be allocated at any time, but it’s certainly a good indication that Sky News may take up residence on the Freesat EPG soon.
Don’t forget in the meantime that Sky News is available by manually tuning within the ‘non-Freesat’ service mode. The frequency details for Sky News should you need them are 12207 V 27500 2/3.
This information remains unconfirmed so we’ll report back if we find out anything more.
