Can you just hook a freesat box upto a spare outlet on the LNB on an existing sky dish?

you can get the non freesat channels with all box's
but its ONLY the Humax Foxsat that has the auto manual scan

the other Alba family of recivers have to be manually tuned and freq input manually

so for me the little xtra money is well spent on the Humax

i work with ALL models of freesat receivers, including integrated TVs, and id say the humax is the best thats available, its also the fastest for downloading updates, and tuning in new channels, the alba boxes, when first installed, can take up to 40 mins to update software then scan for channels, the HD humax box does it all in about 7 mins

I've tried doing a manual scan with the humax I can get 12246H 27500A, but there isn't a12246 V 29500 when i flick through the list just goes to 12266H 27500A. Im i missing a step here, can you enter the manual numbers for the 29500 3/4 part as well.

There's 12,226 H that broadcasts s/r 27500 or there is 12,266 H with s/r 27500 too. Both arent what you needed, but they are scrambled now anyway so it didnt last long.
