Should I buy one.

I currently have a cable Dreambox 600 which works great. I have a sat dish, up from when I used to use SKY.

Is it worth buying a sat box, (if so which one). To have a play with new channels. I don't want to get in to moving the dish, (I'm scared of heights - LOL)

The answer is no.
You wont get anything from a sky dish, only the free chans, so you would get more from your cable box setup.

Thanks for the response. Would I be talking big investment if I looked into changing the dish? As I mentioned, I have all the channels the wife wants to watch on the cable box. I was just looking to play with new toys.

You could get a decent setup for less than £200 mate, I bought a DM500-S clone (£75) Diseqc motor (£25) 1.1meter dish (£55) and a wall mount (£30).

You could use your existing sky dish for some satellites, but many sats need a larger dish.
