Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.
I have just purchased the above PVR, I like it, works great, but it was purchased for the bedroom and it turns on at least twice an hour, once very quickly, sort of 10 seconds then again for a couple of minutes.
Is this normal? Does anybody know what it is doing? Can I stop it?
When I say turns on I actually mean the HDD just starts up, the actual box remains in standby mode the whole time.
It's very annoying where you are just dropping off and it comes on.
I assume it's updating something, can it not just do it once a day, say at 10.00?
Any help woujld be apprecited otherwsie I'll have to go without, I value my sleep over being able to watch TV in bed.
