One for you Digi

Bought an ex-display Samsung 42" (PS42SQHD or something similar) about 18 months ago. 11 months and 3 weeks into my ownership, it developed a bit of a problem. Usually, on high a high contast picture, you'll get slight pixellation. For example, the channel 4 logo, white screen with the '4' logo cut out, the cut out with will go quite block and only noticable on scart connections. it's not the leads or the device. i logged a job with Comet, they sent a flunky out who said turn off the noise reduction option - then left. didnt' fix it. i rang again, 2 chaps came out ( i was at work) and according to my wife, they took the back off and 'turned something up on either side of the screen' - his words to her. now, it made it a bit better but it's not 100%. it's almost like it's a refresh problem.

I'm now on HD so using HDMI but i've noticed a sort of 'lag' sometimes and the picture breaks up a little and can't seem to keep up - similar to what was happening via scart.

So any ideas?
What did they 'turn up' on either side? the invertors?
is it an easy fix or should i just live with it?
