Switch on unit and ensure no disc is in the machine. Using the remote control press 1111 then 01 for region 1 or 02 for region 2
Grundig GDV130
Switch on unit and ensure no disc is in the machine. Using the remote control press 'open' and then 'setup'. Press '9' for region free or select the required region number then press '2', '0', '0', '0', 'step', 'shuffle' and finally 'next'
Hitachi DVP-305E
Switch on unit and ensure no disc is in the machine. Press and hold the 'play' and 'stop' buttons on the players fascia until the language menu appears. Using remote choose '1' for English and then press 'repeat', '3', '8', '7', '6', '7' and then a region number should appear (most likely 02). Press '9' for multi-region then the 'open' button on the player followed by 'standby' on the remote.
This hack should also work on Samsung and Thompson DVD players.
Lecson DVD-900
Switch on unit and select DVD channel on your television. Press the 'open/close' button on the remote then 'zoom', 'A-B', 'up', 'left', 'down', 'right'. A message "Region Free" should then briefly appear on the television screen.
LG DVD-3350E
Switch on unit and ensure no disc is in the machine. On the remote press 'pause', '3', '1', '4', '1', '5', '9' then enter '0' for region free. When the word 'code' appears in the display press the 'pause' button again. Switch the player off, count to ten and then switch back on again.
Matsui DVD122
Switch on unit and ensure no disc is in the machine. On the remote press 'menu', '1', '6', '7'. The on-screen menu will then show a region selection option. Press the 'mute' button for all regions and then 'exit'
Minato DVD-G1
Switch on unit and select DVD channel on your television. On the remote press 'open/close' then '0', '1', '1', '1'. A set of stars should appear on the top left hand corner of the on-screen display. Select required region number from remote. The word 'region' and the selected region number may then appear on the screen.
Philips DVD-1010
You'll need a One-for-All 6 remote with the code 0539. Power on the unit and then key in 085. The players display should then show a series of dashes. Press 222 222 005 255 and then 'play'
This hack should also work on the Yamaha DVD-S510 DVD player
Samung DVD-511
Switch on unit and ensure no disc is in the machine. Press and hold the 'play' and 'stop' buttons on the players fascia until the language menu appears. Choose '1' for English and then on the remote press 'repeat', '3', '8', '7', '6', '7' and then a region number should appear (most likely a 2). Press '9' for multi-region then the 'open' button on the player followed by 'standby' on the remote.

Tiny TPSL102
Switch on unit and ensure no disc is in the machine. On the remote press '1', '0', '+10', 'Prev' and then 'Next'. You will then see the current region number. Now press 'Prev' or 'Next' to change the region. Beware, this machine will not playback RCE encoded discs.

Switch on unit and ensure no disc is in the machine. Press and hold the 'play' and 'stop' buttons on the players fascia until the language menu appears.
