Remote assistance, anyone know how to activate it??
im trying to use it to connect to my home computer, but it just comes up with
"unable to connect". it used to work before when i tried it sometime last year
any ideas?

Right click MY COMPUTER icon, select PROPERTIES and then the REMOTE tab.

Also check your firewall settings to make sure it's not blocking RDP.

easy to use

if you want to remotely control a pc over a network or the internet try using remote desktop control very cheap and well worth the money ...read up and decide for yourself....i have been using it for six months to help sister out who is 300 miles away.....very good program..llink is

RAdmin ftw!!! :)
its easy to setup, got loads more options and is bloody secure

thanks for your suggestions.
remote assistance is enabled but still wont work, even tried all 3 programmes.
set them up on both comps, yet wont connect! i was pulling my hair out with frustration!!

so finally i gave up, ill just edit the stuff when i go home on next week

Open msn messenger on both pc's log in and start request remote assistance, the rest is easy m8. Unless something is blocking it - firewall, router, isp e.t.c

^^even tried messenger, there seems to be comething preventing connection, its not a firewall either. its weird because it used to work when i used it some time last year. i reinstalled windows after that, perhaps something else is preventing it
