register o2 payg sim without topping up?

Is there any way to register those freebie payg online O2 sims with having to pay £10 each time?

Basically want to give it away to some1 so they can receive calls...

Dont you just put it in and they can recieve calls?

Its only £10 to get the free texts and stuff.

If not put it in and sent Balance to 20202 and that does something and gives them free texts. I done it with ines and i hav 300 free texts for a month without ever topping up and i ecieved texts/calls.

Thanks for the replies, i popped the sim into my 2nd phone now n it received a call just fine without doing anything, though it didnt work last night when i first put it in.
