recording audio?

does anyone know a good program (free if poss) that will allow me to record audio direct off the web page ?

this program will let you rip audio from youtube and other similar sites, it rips it to Mp3.

Audacity is free: Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder

Can record line in and what you hear. Can save as MP3, wav and Ogg. Can mix tracks and a whole lot more (via plugins).

A few DW members use it so post back if you get stuck.

Whilst buffering the file open Audacity. Go to Edit > Preferences > Recording > Device > Stereo Mix. (Vista/Win7 may need some tweaks in control panel's sound settings.)

When you are ready hit record and start the play back of the streamed file. Once the file has finished playing hit stop, you can now highlight and delete any empty space. (If you are an IE user you won't be able to surf as the 'clicking' will be recorded too.)
