Recent error on tv- NO signal

I switched on TV and PS3 and received this message- was working fine b4 I went away for a few days- Have tried all rebooting options still no joy. Will play through scart however?
Have read about an HDMI switch solving this (if it is a handshake problem) any other ideas?

Have you tried a different hdmi lead? Maybe try a different socket. I have an Xbox that would only work through the 1st hdmi socket on my av amp for some reason.

Try and reset the ps3's pic settings by pressing the power button (with the ps3 in standby) until you hear a second beep. The settings should be reset then.
