Sooo, a short while back I upgraded my aging core 2 duo to an Anniversary Pentium and Gigabyte Z79P-D3 mobo to get me onto 1150 Haswell architecture.

I'll be upgrading my CPU around Xmas but for now I really wanted to get back into a bit of PC gaming, and my equally ancient Nvidia 8800 GTS is headed for the skip.

I'm only going to be running 720p or 1680 x 1050 at the most and although I wouldn't mind playing some of the latest games, I'm not expecting to be going balls out on quality.

I'm a bit lost on the tech side these days I'm afraid so could do with some help please - got a budget of £150ish to £200 if I can be persuaded. I'm tossing up between:

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

and

Code:

Obviously the later is newer but is there going to be a significant difference between the two? I am quite a fan of the idea of smaller dies, heat, noise etc.

Any advice on the two? or any better suggestions?
