Bare with me here total noob question........So i am thinking of building a media pc but in the meantime i was going to create a virtual environment to play about with this, My question is can i do that and then just take a snap shot of what i set up in my virtual environment then image my media pc?? also what sort of spec of a machine do i need? probably going to want to play hd movies?

wound advice taking an image of the the set up unless the machine your copy to is exactly the same as drivers can be an issue
best off with new install on windows mate
i would make a folder with all installed software and just drag this to new machine
really dont need high spec for media center
duel core cpu , 2 gb ram , 512 mg graphics with hdmi out
