Question about my chipped xbox

My xbox was chipped by the guy who had it before me so im not sure what chip is in there, but im having afew problems with games so i wanna format the HDD and start again.

Anyone know the process i need to do? I know about locking it and eeprom etc

you need slayer 2.5 or 2.6 disk or evox ..they have got all the utils you need to format the harddrive ...

will slayers/evoX autorun or do i need to make it a bootable disc?

Also, if i wanted to put a fresh HDD in - can i leave it unlocked and use one of the above apps to then lock it?

yep slayer will auto run ......you can swop out the hdd for a larger 1 ..slayer has a menu and gives the option to unlock and lock your hdd also you can re flash your chip if your going bigger than 120gig hdd
copy slayer on cd and dvd some drives are fussy

got the slayers disc off mininova - seems to be the genuine one

Well done m8 it feels better if you do it yourself....

I remember soldering in my first mod chip and i could't belive it worked.
