Quality of Sky Go and BT Sports app

I have an Amazon TV Fire Stick and installed both Sky Go and BT Sports apps, but, have been very underwhelmed with the quality of the picture, especially watching sports (football & cricket)

I have Kodi and Mobdro on there and the quality is even worse (pixelating, freezing)

Our broadband is around 12-13 Mbps, so, don't think speed is the issue.

Anyway, my main question is whether this is a streaming issue or if IPTV would likely be an improvement?

Well, it can't have been too difficult as I managed it!!!

Just downloaded to Android tablet and then used Apps2Fire to transfer.

Had to buy myself a Bluetooth mouse, but, works fine

Yes, first on to tablet then Apps2Fire to transfer to Amazon TV Fire Stick - working fine, apart from crap picture!

Works beautifully on my Samsung Galaxy Tab though

There's not too much more I can say.....

1) Install Sky Go on an Android device (I used a Samsung Galaxy Tab S)
2) Install Apps2Fire on the same device
3) Use Apps2Fire to transfer the Sky Go app to the Fire Stick

....and it worked!

well as i said unless something changed very recent i doubt it
sly blocked the devs work unless you have a newer version & care to share
only works on Windows here

I am on a Windows PC just now - can you explain how I do this, please?

The version I have is 5.0.3.14 and this is the one tat can be downloaded from Play.

As I said, this one works for me on both Samsung Tab S and Amazon TV Fire Stick

Just checked Fire Stick and it is "Fire OS 5.0.5 (537174420)"

I haven't done anything clever (not capable!), just loaded latest version off Play and it works!!!!

personally thought sky upgraded to block it on OS 5
wont even run on lappy using bluestacks now either
