Ps3.....ps4 game

No not from disk at least. They may allow downloads through psn like they have with the ps2 on the ps3 though . But this is just a guess

I thought sony said it had backward compability ?? However still confused as GAME.co.uk are currently doing an offer where if you buy one of the latest titles such as fifa 14, cod, battlefield (due to release before ps4 launch) - if you buy these games for ps3 and then later when u buy ps4 - they will give you a guaranteed trade in value of £40 on the same game but in ps4 version

sony have never said it had backwards compatibility. infact they confirmed it didn't at the time it was announced. the reason for this is due to ps4's x86 architecture. this is not capable of running ps3 games that were built for the cell processor. this is why they have purchased the gaikia service for streaming games to the ps4 and vita. this service will launch in America next year, with no confirmed launch plans for Europe. no idea if this will be part of ps+ (possibly an upgraded more expensive tier) or it will be a stand alone subscription service or individually priced games.

there are 2 options for upgrading a few select games. either by trading the game in at Game and paying the difference for the ps4 version. or if you own the game it can be upgraded via the psn for £10 from ps3-ps4 version. its only available on a few games, ac black flag, cod, bf4, and fifa 14. don't think there are any other ones
