i'd rather not have to faff about but i would consider it as a last resort, the warranty is not an issue, the ps2 cost me 20 quid, i'll take my chances with a chip, but gracias

I would but postage would amount to a fair chunk of the cost, i have found chips and service are generally not that expensive but when you add another ?30 for the postman, i think i'd rather get it done locally.

If you can. lol. I think its ?65 all in mate. That aint bad. And I know a guy locally to me, who charges the same. Upto you totally though mate.
