does it exist as yet? i heard rumours a while back about a tomtom version?

Tomtom did make a version for the iphone but it was for inhouse only, there is no offical plan to go ahead with it at the moment,

but you never know what the future holds

hopefully some one in house accidently(LOL) posts it on net

I'm sure in time apple will improve the google maps software on the phone to make better use of the gps.

Better sticking to the real satnav suppliers, I recommend the Garmin Nuivi, has more travel features than the iPhone and far outreaches Navman.

Don't think this will ever happen! I've got an iPhone 3G and I used maps once, for serious Sat Nav type use. It was slow to update and just ate up the battery! I think TomTom wouldn't release a version themselves as they realise that the iPhone just doesn't do it in Sat Nav terms! ps with a GPS navigator connected via Bluetooth it could probably do the job!!

yeah it probably would eat up the battery but thats what the cigerette lighter charger is for
and ther reason it was slow to update is cause it got to get maps from inernet at moment but whit tomtom maps will be on the device cant wait to see it onthe iphone soon
