Before I stick this up in the classifieds or indeed ebay, I have one of these in my possession which I've been handed. The guy that passed me it doesn't have a clue about sat equipment and it was sitting in a lock up from some auctioned kit he bought over a year ago and he knew I frequented sat forums, so he thought I could get rid of it for him.

To tell the truth I probably have not much more of a clue, and because it's more so specialist equipment I wanted to gauge any interest from sat installers while I get all the bits together (there are lots of cable connections and it probably needs new batteries).

PROMAX PROLINK-4/C TV & Satellite Level Meter, Prolink4 Promax - at the Test Equipment Depot

Just to be clear I'm not selling this right now, or at least until I'm sure precisely what is with it and it's fully functioning, hence why I posted here. Any pointers on what is standard with this would also help.

its definately worth a few hundred quid but depends on what extra board options are installed and i dont think they do dvbs2/mpeg4 but its a spectrum analyser for tv and sat and they always command a good price, regards mdt

Shameless bump, was hoping someone like digi could point me in the right direction as to use, where it could be used, if it's still even relevant in terms of installs that happen today etc?

its a spectrum analyser m8 with L band from 5 to 2150 i think and an experienced engineer/installer could use it no trouble, regards mdt
