Prince will be exclusively airing two songs live on Sky News on Friday night from the last of his marathon set of London gigs.

The music legend, who created classics like Purple Rain and Kiss, has previously banned all photographers and film crews from his live performances at the 02 Arena.

Friday's show will be the last of a 21-concert stint at the landmark, formerly called the Millennium Dome.

Originally, only seven gigs had been planned for the venue but more were quickly arranged because of the huge demand and rave reviews.

The singer and guitarist - who also plays piano and percussion and produces his own albums - has attracted a huge global following over a career spanning more than three decades.

Despite the extended residency at the Dome, his concerts have been sell-outs.

Live footage of the energetic 49-year-old's show will be broadcast from the venue on satellite channel 501 and online too, between 8.30pm and 9pm.

Prince is not charging for the footage, which will be released worldwide after the exclusive showing on Sky News.

His fee-free approach comes after he gave away his new album Planet Earth in The Mail on Sunday.

In the mid-1990s, Prince famously changed his name to a squiggle - becoming "the artist formerly known as Prince" - after a contract dispute with his then record label Warner Bros

Sky News + Prince = ???

Sky News are getting more and more like Fox news everyday, next they'll be showing The Simpsons.

Not a fan of Princes music to be honest, but I admire his talent for playing those instruments, he's great at everything he touches - i just wish he'd write a decent song ;)
