I do tend to use the old Honda most of the time .

You don't see many of the old Honda's around any more, ive been an
Honda man most of my life, having 4 CX500's, 2 Goldwings, 550k3
with 4 into 4 pipes, XR500 enduro etc etc.

What was peoples first bike ??,..

mine was a BSA Bantam 175 motocross which I used for schoolboy
competitions at 11 years old, my first road bike at 16 was a Suzuki
AP50, but wish I had got a fizzy FS1E like my mates!.

Well it was such a nice day today that I dragged my bike out
and went for a spin, the first one in about 2 months and it
felt bloody great!, bit nippy on the fingers, but not a bad day
at all......roll on summer!.

Is that the SV650 ??,.....not a bad motor, but found them lacking
in the throttle department.....those new GSXR600's are mental
though , absolutly cracking motor!.:FRIGHT: :Biggrin2:

Mate of mine has the 04 model, very nice machine and bloody
fast!!, job to keep the front end down, certainly one bike to be
ridden with a lot of respect otherwise it will bite back badly.

LOL it's already bit him once, well his 02 model gsx-r 1000, slow sweeping bend 40mph loose gravel = metal rods either side of his spine But he's keen to get back on the horse, spent all his time rebuilding his bike and, as i said, has decided to buy a new one as well.

I'm a kwack man so he can keep his suzi, all me gear is green and black so i guess i'll have to stay that way, lol.

Well don't ever do what another of my mates did, he missed a
corner completely and ended up in a field, otherwise you would
never be found

Biker dies in field after calling 911

WOODSTOCK, Ill., July 11 (UPI) -- A motorcyclist who went off a road in rural Illinois died in a field because a 911 dispatcher was unable to pinpoint him from his cell phone calls, a report says.

Kurt Regnier was about 5 miles from his home in Capron, a hamlet in Boone County, when he crashed, the Chicago Tribune said. He was passing through McHenry County early Sunday after watching NASCAR races in Joliet.

In his two calls to 911, Regnier told a dispatcher that he might have a broken leg. When his body was found shortly after dawn and four hours after the crash, he turned out to have a broken neck as well.

Police using helicopters and other equipment tried to find the injured man by searching around the cell tower that picked up his first call. Unfortunately, he was several miles away.

Shortly before 6 a.m., a passing driver spotted the wrecked motorcycle.

Poor sod!, but can fully understand how it can happen cos when my
mate came off during the summer the field was very very over grown
and the bike and him could very easily have disappeared in the grass,
fortunatly he could stand up and walk away and virtually no damage
to the bike (broken mirror, bent gear lever),.....so there you go Dutcho,
wear YELLOW instead. LOL

Here's one I made ealier.

This was something I built quite a few years ago, its got a Honda 400/4
engine (it was a spare I had laying around), the frame is a multi frame
which would take any engine up to 1100cc, the front had a 2" rake and
the pipes were straight through drag pipes made from the 400/4
original down pipes, took me around 11 months to complete.
