A post is an entry on a thread. A thread can be viewed as a collection of posts under one topic.

So this is a post in a thread and you started the thread.

thanks for reply i feel abit of an idiot but the only way to find out is to ask simply new to computing(single digit keyboard man and even slower at texting!)

i can remember asking what lol and lmfao etc meant a while back. Its like Chris Tarrant says "Its only easy if you know the answer"
