Playing backups from a USB2 drive

Can the above drive be used to play backups direct from the drive,

it should be fine if your pluged into a hi-speed/usb2 port.

it kind of depends on what you are trying to play back.

For instance, I have some divx files stored on a usb2 disk on the network and they play OK.

So for games everything has to be played from the internal h/d ?? Im basically looking to do away with burning disks if i can ...

Not at this moment in time mate

All games need to be played from the internal drive.
