Pipex .. email junk

Any other Pipex customers suddenly getting a lot of spam mail in past week ??

Am asking as been with Pipex for a couple of years and never had this then from last week i get like 10-20 per day

the email address is nowhere except on Pipex servers (no webpage with it and no one else has it except Pipex)

According to Pipex there is nothing they can do as 'email addressess can be harvested' ... I do not believe that for one second, as I said the Pipex email is not anywhere for it to be 'harvested'

so either someone has hacked into their mail server or they have sold the details ??

Don't need to harvest email addresses at all.
With a bit of luck, and some drunk admin who set up the mailserver it is possible to send mails to all users on that server without even knowing their names.

Pipex ran into a similar problem back in 2001, where 8 mail servers
were literally crippled by roughly 3 million mails send across them.

oh well ... looks like have to just stop using that email address and let them build up on pipex server ... so if pipex want to contact me they can't as i won't be collecting emails from that adress
