picture quaility

i have flashed my dbox with a PB engima 4 image played around with it then went back to a sportster image that i am working on, the one thing i DID notice, is that the picture quailty on the Engima image WAS far superior to either the sportster and commando images,

can someone shed some light as to what drives the 'picture' and can it be imported into the Neuterino images.... or am i the only one to have seen the difference.....
