My mate asked me to help him change the cambelt on his van, hes out of work at the moment and I thought I'd help him out. I've changed a couple of belts on the old vauxhall 8v engines before but not a mechanic really I'm a photocopier engineer!
I thought we could just follow the Haynes manual but it turns out they dont do one for the van.
Does anyone have any diagrams or instructions for fitting one? Is it fairly straight forward or do you think I could be biting off more than I can chew here?
Cheers Guys

Cant any mechanics offer any advice? I know we got some on here

Never done one on myself, give us abit more info, age, engine size ect and i'll post the fitting inst from autodata. Don't think it'll be as straightforward as the the old vauxhall's though.

Would really appreciate that, cheers mate.
Its a 52 plate, 1.9 hdi. Started to get the feeling it might not be easy.
Wont hurt to read up and see if its doable though

here you are, have a read at this and see if you want to give it a go.
