these have been about for quite some time. I get them and i dont have paypal.

moral is never reply to emails claiming to be from anywhere to verify and account of any kind.

aye its just a fake site setup to log your details, some of them look real professional as well
it uses a browser vulnerability to mask the real url
any time you go to paypal you should manually type the whole url in with https:// prefix to ensure a secure encrypted session
ie https://paypal.co.uk

Re paypal Scam

Paypal state that they will ONLY address you by your name if they contact you. Never reply to emails that are addressed to 'paypal customer' , 'paypal user, or anything similar to this. If you receive an email like this and are unsure of its authenticity, you can always check with paypal first to see if it is genuine. And just for the extra information, the same thing applies to Ebay.
