I have an odd problem with 1 win 7 pc

setup is win 2012 server multiple clients about 7 win 7 pro most 64bit and 3 xp clients.

1 win 7 machine has an issue if it is the first client to log on to the domain it will not see the server to browse to any of the the shared folders. There are some applications that have routes to the server data in the app ie \\servername\share these work ok. It will also print to either of the printers on the server.

if i go into explorer and map a drive to a share this works without the need for additional authentication so the machine is connected to the domain as a vilid machine with a valid user account it just cant find shares or even see the server if i browse.

in advanced networking shareing the current profile is domain and network discovery is turned on.
i have turned off and back on same
i have removed form the domain and rejoined same.

the odd thing is then if any other win 7 client then is switched on at the point that the new machine gets to cntl/alt/del screen this doggy machine can then browse the network and see the new machine, the server and itself.

Any ideas ?
