NTL Broadband

Anyone out there on NTL Broadband? Can you tell me how reliable it is?

It'll be available in my area within the month (apparently).

go for it i have it for a year when downloading data it is over 85 bps not 4 bps with a 56 modem hope this helps

I have had it for over a year and it was only over the christmas period did i have service outages i think I had about 4 and mostly on the weekends.

Th overall picture is I have had a very fast connection speed and could never ever go back to a telephone 56k modem, so go for it.

p.s. NTL did re imberse me for the outage time in my bill

Thanks for the reassurance.

I've had it for three days now - very unreliable, but have an engineer attending tomorrow, so hopefully all will be well after then.

It's good to know that it should work well! When it did work, it went very fast - full bandwidth.

It's new to my area, so I may be suffering from teething probs.

I know that you subscribe for 1 year minimum, but does anyone know whether you can upgrade / downgrade between 128K / 512K within this contract?
