no channels cant update software anyone help ?

use virgin cable lost channels about 10 days ago tried software update but comes up as searching new update but nothing happens any help would be great in glasgow

aye all 780 boxes are down since xmas eve ,typical it happens on the busy hols,they are taking their time to fix their service and many are moving to better boxes with hd and subs,some are holding out for the return but as you know we are never told when.850 boxes still working.
