Telewest has confirmed exclusively that the extra Sky Movies screens are joining its digital cable service. The new channels will be switched on from March 7, bringing to an end months of speculation and rumour.
Sky Movies Premier 2, 3, 4 and Widescreen, along with Sky Movies Max 2, 3, 4 and 5 plus Sky Cinema 2 will all be added to the service. Customers who subscribe to Premier will get the extra Premier screens; those who subscribe to Max will get the extra Max screens; and those who subscribe to both Premier and Max will receive Sky Cinema and Sky Cinema 2 as well.
Gavin Patterson, Telewest Broadband's managing director, said: "It's great news for customers who get a bigger choice of movies for no extra cost.
"It's another sign that we're packing yet more entertainment into all our broadband services."
