got the box back copied over the .img>flashed it whilst still connected>nochannellist>done.
took it round my da's connected up nochannellist> did a scan and away we go.
had to create soem new bouquets move channels about, enough to keep him happy.
so i very big thank you to all that helped.
now i can pack the golf clubs away to go on holiday,
