can someone tell me if i can program an existing ON card with the codes posted or do you need to start off with a blank card?

I'll assume you are talking about the DBMG2 codes 
You need to start off with a blank card to make an RU card

what i mean is if i use the remote code can i program this straight on to the card that comes with the box from ON.
i have tried to do this but when inputting the code the parental code just says "invalid code"

Sorry m8 you need a gold card or pic card to use your remote to program the monthly codes.
It will not work on the original card plus you will need a programmer to put the software needed into the card.....Gazer.
