This method sounds good...but will i need the pc on to stream the files usin demon ?
the reason i got a nas drive was so i would not have to use the lappy to record and playback(which works flawlessley usin winserver and vlc).

daemon tools trick did not work for me anyways lol,,,i may just take the nas drive back...pretty useless
