Just put £15.00 on my meter card when I got home it says nil on card , went back to the shop was told to phone n power spent 10 mins pressing number 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 on my phone pad eventully I got to speak to a human only to be told to go back to the shop get a replacment card put £1 on and go back home insert it into the meter and do the same for the next 3 days : mr ed : Thanks for listening.
 
Ive heard this before from british gas customers. DID you realise you pay %15 more i think thats the amount by PAYING IN ADVANCE!. I would push for compensation for the cost of fuel, time wasted etc. Get yourself a normal meter mate you will notice the difference

Advice taken on board I will kick n power to the curb. I did not realize I was paying over the odds for such crab service.
 
they say it cost more to process, then pass it on to the "poor" customer
 
them pay as you go meters have a massive markup nealy 50% on gas and 35% elec .. i wood never use them.. i use to work for powergen. what a wast of my life that was. lol
