my dbox is dead :-(

i had some stripes on my box so i was trying to fix them using the knife trick but the ribbon was loose so i took it out and when i plugged back in the power just got cut and there was a smell...

and suddenly the screen went black now when i plug it in i just get the black dots and the remote light onn

If you are playing with the lcd at a powered box you get a good chance to kill cpu or front processor.
I guess more boxes were killed with that method then lcd's repaired.
 
well i did fix it b4.... i just wanted make a quick fix again as a few lines were coming on
 
got a box in the same condition m8

it is worthless :( unless u can buy a cpu from say dboxshop and solder it yourself otherwise it is too costly
 
i will just buy another one off ebay they have some nice ones with blue lcds..
