*.mts to mpeg/avi

My camera records ACVHD files in the mts format. How do i go about concerting these to mpeg or avi files?

I use FormatFactory 2.60 Mairy. VLC plays my Lumix files natively but if I put them on the PS3 they got to be converted & this works ok. Not sure if it's the best but it's the first one I tried that worked.
