Yellos.
My uncle in late november gave me a 360 of theirs to see if I could fix it. I was about to go on holiday for a fortnight, and my last fixing attempt failed after several hours of frustration so I didnt have a go. I said to check warranty for 3 yrs - as its a 2006 console, but he reckoned it had long since expired (and had bought it 2nd hand from somewhere)
When I got back from hols he'd bought a new one anyway and said I can just have the old one to see if can do anything with.
Its since been sat on shelf. I presume its probably not exploitable as my nephew likes to play on Live (never know tho - may have been a spare console for nonlive play )
I've just put in the numbers to check on xbox and register a device...then chose 3rrod and said in details it was 0020 code (which it is)...and it looks like they've accepted it for repair (says £0 and they'll send by email a label to print (still waiting) to get it sent in etc)
whhoooohooo (tho he didnt give me any cables...bugger)
I'm just wondering though - are they tending to fix these consoles now - especially the 06 ones.....or just give a new replacement? In a way would rather they fix it on the offchance it is still jtaggable even tho thats not too likely. If get a different console - are they always newer models with updates on too - or some random other persons console that they had just recently got around to refurbing
