Movies on Wii, memory card limit.

Finally the wii turned up today from amazon, even though its not mine i still had a little go on wii sports seems very fun, boxing is a bit annoying thiugh u throw 100 punches and ur mii throws 10 lol.

Just wondering is it possible to put movies on to my memory card and then play on my wii?
Also is the reason they put a limit on the memory card size 2gb max that they dont want any higher memory cards for fear of coppied games and piracy?

probs amazon is the cheapist, not sure about movies though, i didnt think it would play them as there is no option for it, but there may be a back door
