Hi i have downloaded a super copy of the kings speech which is a rip from a bluray and is in mkv format.

i wanted to burn to a dvd for my Ma, she is hard of hearing now so wanted subs i checked the mkv and it has subs but when i converted to dvd there are no subs.

i used Freemake video converter first and then Xilisoft video ultimate video converter both have made excellent dvds but neither have subs.

Does anybody use either of these converters if so can you tell me what i am doing wrong ?

Convertxtodvd

Balls I went to edit that but couldn't :(

I always use convertxtodvd never had any problems with it losing subs - are they hardcoded for this film or is there a separate subs file you need to add for them?

the subtitles are in the mkv file.

if i use vlc on the mkv file and go to subs i get the option for english spanish or off.

on the dvd i have made using vlc and go to the same place i get disabled.

i used freemake video converter first..... where is the tick box Captin i need to make to get it to do subs too..

dont worry i put my glasses on :)

hey

AVStoDVD is very good program, you can add subtitles, but you have to enable with the hmm vobsub to enable subs
