anybody got any memory for a compag armada 1750?128 or 256

Try these guys matey
www.crucial.com {remember to select the UK on the opening page}
you put in your computer detail into a search facility on the site they do a bit of a spy job on your behalf and come up with the solution best suited to your computer and they will also do you a price which is comparable with the latest market prices for all types of RAM

where is the ram located to in a compag armada lol

what model armada is it ?

i think some have base mem fited to m/board then have 1 or 2 dimm slots to fit additional.

turn lappy over there should be 2 or 3 flaps on bottom with locking screw, it should be a torks screw, like allen screw but with curly edges.

armada 1750 found the 2 flaps one houses the hard drive cant remeber whats in the oyher lol

hi jimmyp
got me compaq cert engineer book out
compaq armada 1750 has 64mb base memory and user upgradeable to 192mb
the memory is not on bottom but under keyboard, there are 2 little clips at the front of the keyboard that have to be moved (little screw driver/paper clip) either side of space bar. once they are moved keyboad will hinge up towards screen.
you dont need to remove keyboard to install new memory.
if u want more info go to this link and get pdf manual its about 5Mb, it will have a chapter about upgrade memory cos its user upgradable. it may have a picture of location of clip if u cant find
