Am very new to this dreambox stuff so am looking for some advice....

First of all I have a digital service supplied to me by NTL here in
Ireland. Secondly, I previously had a sky box and satellite dish (I still
have the dish).

I have a few questions....

1. Can I use the existing dish and cancel my NTL subscription If so what box is the best for this ?

2. If not do I still need a digital service from NTL or will the standard analogue
service suffice with one of your boxes.

3. What are the recommended boxes for the above two scenarios ?

If I was you I would cancell yout N*L Sub then go and buy a Dreambox Cable version flash it with the right image and watch N*L for free. Satelite viewing can be a bit trouble sum as the k**s have to be changed on a regular basis. On a satelite system you will need to subscribe to S*y to watch it as there are no hacks for S*y so you are stuck with watching programs from across europe. Once you have spent a bucket load of time getting it all setup on the satelite system there is a lot to see but cable is much eaiser.

500c is for cable also digital and analog signals are sent down the same line

500s is for satellite of which you need a dish but you aint gonna get sly without a valid subscription other wise there is not a lot on 28e
