Little Puzzle for you - Part 2 :)

Here's a little variation for you of the puzzle I posted previously (kinda bored at the moment - lol)

If:

3 + 7 = 50

6 + 5 = 60.5

1 + 8 = 40.5

5 + 2 = 24.5

Then:

8 + 7 = ?????

Appreciate if the answers aren't posted to give others a chance and not ruin it for them.

If you get the answer PM me or if any hints required post in the thread and I'll try and give a hint or if someone else has the answer they may give you a hint.

It's basically an equation with a part of it missing. By using all the 4 answers you have, you have to try and work out what the missing steps are and apply it to the last one.
