line in

My mate does mixing on his decks and wants to record an burn cd's of his mixes....

The only inputs available are the mic and line in jacks.... Where is the best place to take the audio out from ? before or after amplifier ?...

haveing a guess if he has a pre-amp before he imputs to the main amp i would try there

If its from a record deck or decks then he will have to take from a pre amp or from a headphone socket to the line in on the sound card. If you go straight from the decks then the sound card won,t amplify it enough. The output from a record player pickup is far weaker than from a tapedeck or cd player. Hope this helps.
