iPad limra1n ipad jailbreak

How do i jailbreak the ipad can i use limera1n? because i thought the latest firmware for ipad is 3.2.2 and in limerain it is saying it is for firmware 4,1, my one is from USA could that be the reason? only itunes it says i have the latest one? do i have to register in order to see updates?

I am wanting to jailbreak my ipad 3.2.2 with limera1n is it recommended save some files before I jailbreak ? Why must you save these files and how do you do this is there a tutorial ? Thanks.
