I am running ubuntu 10.10 on a usb stick as a trial before installing as a second OS but the keyboard is USA @displays as" and vicea versa how do i get an british keyboard
Also when i have gone to install it shows the harddrive partitions as windows loader(ext3 NTFS) and ubuntu (ext4 fat32) i chicken out at this because im not sure where it will install and what will happen to my files and win 7

thanks edogg

It's advisable to install ubuntu first mate then windows after that.

Try virtualbox from Oracle and install ubuntu in that and see if you like it first.

As for the keyboard... goto system>Preferences>keyboard You'll get a gui coming up. You should be able to change the preferences in the layouts tab
