I use to work for them and part of my training was to shadow a engineer for a week, not all cables are tagged with addresses and you would need to trace the cable back to your house, like someone said dont take it for granted the nearest cab is yours but mostly it will be...

Your fine if you have broadband with them as they wont disconnect you as still using cable.

Like other people pay the minimum and kep there network up and running.
