I keep getting emails like this:

several emails said:
hiya,
everybody, here is a true story. The use of msn and mail will
cost money from summer 2006. If you send this message to 18
different people from your list your little msn icon will become
blue and that will make it free
for you. If you dont believe me go on (www.msn.com) and see it
yourself.
Dont foward this message, copy paste it so people will actually
read it.

is it true?

i went to MSN.com, but there was nuffin about it anywhere, so i decided to check wit the knowledgable folk at DW ;)

wtf is the point of paying for msn, msn will lose allot of users if this happens, i doubt they wud do such a thing

If in doubt, go to snopes!

"Don't know if this is a load of crap or not, but thought it wouldn't be wise to find out the hard way.

On the 1st of november , we will have to pay for the use of our MSN and email accounts unless we send this message to at least 18 contacts on your contact list. It's no joke if you don't believe me then go to the site ( www.msn.com ) and see for yourself. Anyways once you've sent this message to at least 18 contacts , your msn dude will become blue. please copy and paste don't forward cos people won't take notice of it otherwise "

It's an Urban Myth.

thanks, i just wanted to make sure :) Long Live MSN lol

There, is a possibility that you may have to pay to send emails om Yahpp and Hotmail....

I will possibly not come to fruition though.

It was to try and stop the spammers, you would get 5 free email sends a day. then any more you would have to pay a small fee per email you send.

As most spammers use yahoo or hotmail accounts
