As the title guys, i'm after a linux receiver with built in positioner to control a actuator motor. This is for a family member who is not that technical so really dont want to go down the route of a dreambox & seperate positioner if it can be avoided.

The dish installed is a big 1.2m channel master which I think is too heavy for a diseqc motor & dont really want to go through the hassle of swapping that either.

Let me know whats available please.

Thank you in advance.

use something called a V2 box m8

you setup the receiver as diseqc 1.2 and plug the co-ax into this box, which then also connects to the motor cables, find the satellites as normal with this sort of system and store them

the box then converts the diseqc commands to full 36v control commands

yes i have a v box with a 1.2 channel master dish and it works very well. you can hide the v box away once setup.

Thanks for the replies guys, I got to admit I thought that using a Vbox meant moving dish then changing channel on the dreambox. Thought you'd have to use 2 remotes everytime. V-box it is :)
