hi guys - i thought id use my old SE k800i phone as an alarm to wakeme up in the morning..i havnt used it for a while, but the battery was swollen, however it still charged fully and holds the charge very well...because i coudnt close the cover on the phone due to the swollen battey...i decided to poke the battery with a saftey pin, made some small holes and pressed it back into shape, fits fine now...is it safe to use or shall i change the battery and get a new one ?..ta

battery is on its way out. The problem is not that its likely to explode but that its going to leak and damage the phone.

Poking holes in a battery that contains bad chemicals is probably not the best idea, I would replace the battery, they are probably quite cheap from ebay.

yes no problem, will get one from ebay....cheap as chips...lol
